How come Anakin, as a child-murderer, was forgiven by the force at the very end?

We all know what he had done and at the very end, just because he threw the bad guy down the balcony -yet did not kill him anyway- he ended up with the light side of the force, even stood up in line with other deceased jedis afterlife. That is, I think, pretty messed up. He was among the most terrible guys of the galaxy. That's not fair.​i've to edit that: Yes the force is not a deity, but the writers, they definitely are. And they forgave Anakin. The ideas of the smiling heavenly force ghost of Anakin next to Obi Wan watching over Luke or Kylo being portrayed as a finally good person before his death obviously did not bother the writers.
