The third trilogy doesn’t make sense

I was going back and watching Mandolorian, it begins 5 years after return of the Jedi right (9 ABY). In that movie you’ll see them talking about how the republic now control areas, basically as much as the empire used to. There are still an empirical outposts but no where near the extent it used to be, and in that series they cripple Moff Gideon and destroy a fuel outpost. If we look at return of the Jedi it ends in 4 ABY, the new trilogy stars in 34 ABY. Then somehow in only 25 (34-9 <- new republic is still around during Mando) years the Star Wars universe goes from the new republic, democracy, happy society, to the fucking first order with star killer base, fucking snoke’s massive star cruiser. Like what? Just for context, there’s about 19 years between prequel and original not to mention the emperor is trying to take power over a 13 year long period, that means it took the emperor 32 years until he started the empire and built the original Death Star. They only have a Death Star, by the time the original trilogy happens, which is shit compared to star killer base and snoke’s ship. So somehow within 25 years the galactic republic has to be overthrown again, and another empire started, that somehow has more power than the original, in a fraction of the amount of time. Remember the “old republic”, not true old republic but you get me, lasted for over 1000 years.So either something really fucking went wrong fast, or it’s just terrible story telling, either way what in the fuck is the new trilogy.I want the original George Lukas 3rd trilogy he pitched, like Zach Snyder’s justice league it might actually make more sense.
