Hamill just announced his regret for being transparent with fans about how he came around to embrace Johnson's vision. The constant negative spin of his words by some fans sealed it.

I regret voicing my doubts & insecurities in public.Creative differences are a common element of any project but usually remain private. All I wanted was to make good movie. I got more than that- @rianjohnson made an all-time GREAT one! #HumbledHamill - @HamillHimselfMy social media feed has been bombarded with videos with titles such as "Why Mark Hamill hated The Last Jedi" that take his words completely out of context to make him say the opposite of what he was saying. They dismissed any positive comment as PR. Thanks to these people, Mark Hamill now regrets his transparency, which is a shame. His trust in the fans has been betrayed and because of this, we can forget about this kind of transparency in the future. Let this be a lesson to us all. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2DhoPQ3
