I feel like Rogue One served as a stark reminder that Anakin really is Vader.

A lot of people usually distinguish Anakin and Vader as two separate people, and I don't blame them. However, the new canon seems to be reminding ud that they really are one and the same. Vader may think that Anakin is dead, but he still is Anakin inside.first, HE LIVES ON FRICKING MUSTAFAR! That was easily my favourite addition to the lore. I saw the image before release of Anakin's mannequin (hehe) but I just assumed the bacta tank scene would be on Coruscant or something. I was definitely not expecting to see that lava planet any time soon. I feel like this scene was an introduction to the concept of Vader living on Mustafar, as it seemed pretty out of place with the flow of the film. Hopefully they explore it in the ST, imagine how cool it'll be if Snoke completes Kylo's training there.in the same scene, we see the suitless Vader in the bacta tank. This was a really good move that they made and I'm so glad we saw it. Just seeing him beneath the suit, limbless and scarred, was a huge reminder that he really is still there.his sassiness and sarcasm never left. His dialogue with Krennic was incredibly reminiscent of the snarky Anakin from the PT and TCW.his fighting style at the end was so much Anakin. That part when the rebel says "LAUNCH" and you can see Vader striking down those helpless scum in the background was very similar to Anakin's fighting style, most notably when killing the Separatist leaders.even the track that played during that scene (Hope) was pretty similar to the music when he was killing the CIS leaders in ROTS.Plus, in the S2 finale of Rebels we see him with the cut helmet and yellow eye. That scene hit me like a truck as it was just like "holy shit, he really is under that suit". This art pretty much explains it:http://ift.tt/1Y3OcJ6 via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2l1hcnz
