How is it that Obi-Wan knew Maul's name in the clone wars?

He never heard his name before, they never mention his name on episode one in his presence and he calls him by name in the clone wars.some thing I am missing?I might be super confused but I noticed that after watching the clone wars. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2m0IwE0
