The Nightsisters have repeatedly been mentioned to be a group of darksiders with Asajj Ventress explicitly stating that they try to control it the best they can while training Quinlan Vos. Yet, they don't act much like the sith since they were content to mostly stay on their own planet and not bother anyone for thousands of years and show affection for each other. Merrin is even a rather pleasant person despite using the dark side in some capacity in Fallen Order.
